Sunday, 2/17: 8 hour private tour with Cem (Jem) and driver. Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, magic carpet shop, Golden Horn drive (we saw dolphins in the Bosphorus!), lunch, Tokapi Palace Museum, the sun came out finally, Spice Market, a tiled mosque, back to hotel. Ate the free snacks in the hotel; went to see the whirling dervishes; ate at the (BEST IN THE WORLD--so said the nice man who helped get our taxis) kabob place down the block. (Our hotel was next to a DVF and a Tiffany's to put things into perspective, so it really could've been the best kabob place ever. It was good stuff.)
