Swing Tree by Discovery

I heard this song on Pandora the other day.
(Sorry, guys, Spotify just doesn't know what songs I might like!
I need something that guesses right most of the time in my life.)

The song was so summery,
and it had the dubby beats that's
nearly the same as the Electric Slide,
which I associate with my Italian side's weddings/celebrations of all sorts.
And it's just fun and awesome--both Swing Tree and the Electric Slide.

This photo was an August sunset over the great state of NJ.
I miss sitting by the river and watching those like whoa.

January Twilight

The other day we went to Sushi Azubu.

We eat at the same time as senior citizens
because crowdedness,
nonvacant bathrooms,
and slow service really make me antsy.

So we saw the sunset on our way there.

I love when the sky turns pink and orange
below blue and purple clouds.

After sushi, we played Ingress a little in Tribeca.
It was fun.

I now have to choose to be a good or bad guy.
I want to be a bad guy with an interesting backstory
that turns into a good guy.
I want to be Nikita.

Sunsets: Two Tiny Stories About My Neighbors

There once was a man
who thought no one was watching.
He picked his wedgie.
Then sniffed his fingers.

An old man swung
from the hammock on his porch.
His belly hairs swayed gently in the breeze.
He felt like a king
in midtown Manhattan.

When the Sun Sets After Yoga

I love when there are
delicious berry and orange clouds.

I had a yoga class outdoors,
on the faux grass,
and it was a lot of fun.

The faux grass was very cushion-y.
We tumbled like toddlers,
trying to do headstands and other crazy positions
that would seem dangerous and impossible (to me) on a studio's wood floor.

I was the worst at yoga of the whole class of four students.

Everyone in my yoga classes seems to do it really seriously.
It's hard to relax,
which I thought was kind of the point
of doing yoga.
The point of these classes seems to breathe
while hurting
a lot.

I'm the only one that wears sweatpants.
I wear sweatpants because
those are the only exercise pants
that hide my panty lines.
Even the old man wears body-hugging shorts.

I just bought a bunch of hiphugger briefs
that will hopefully hide those lines.

I've invested in contacts for zumba classes.
I cannot bounce around with glasses sliding down my nose.

Exercising is nuts.

The Sunset Club

July 11, 2012

I've just decided that I'm starting a club:
The Sunset Club.

If you have any photos of sunsets you'd like to share,
please respond with a link to where you've posted it.
Or you can e-mail me the image at
csolazzo at gmail dot com,
and I'll post it here.

That's all there is to this club!
It's so easy.

Club motto:
Sharing sunsets,
one day at a time.

*Club name and motto are subject to change
if someone comes up with something more clever.
*Sunrises are welcome too
